The original model of the jewel shoe made for Tadej Pogacar by the Italian company DMT – elite manufacturer of high quality shoes for the best cyclists in the world – have been certified by an NFT and are at auction on ItaliaNFT, the first marketplace for the purchase of valuable NFTs related to Made in Italy, starting from July 28. 85% of the auction proceeds will be donated to the Tadej Pogacar Foundation for the cancer research, founded by the great champion, two-time winner of the Tour De France in 2020 and 2021 and runner-up in the 2022 edition, to fund and promote new promising research programs revealing the beneficial effects of physical activity and metabolism on the prevention, treatment and prognosis of cancer.
For this one-of-a-kind auction certified by the Blockchain, DMT has created a unique updated version of its famous KRSL with the brand logo in natural black diamonds. Made in collaboration with the atelier crafting fine jewelry Inn’ Oro Gioielli, the shoes are covered with 138 brilliant cut stones with a total carat weight of 3.62 carats.
To guarantee the operation, ItaliaNFT has created a non-fungible token, which is not only a digital collectible but an innovative and transparent way to give anyone participating in the auction the certainty of getting the physical original shoe worn by Pogacar at the Tour.
