“The jury has selected the finalists for the prestigious INHORGENTA AWARD. Their work is pure inspiration, and we are looking forward to setting them a glittering stage—both at the trade fair and at the gala night for the presentation of the trophies,” explains Stefan Rummel, Managing Director of Messe München. The award recognizes ten categories, two of which are selected by the trade audience at the show.
These are the finalists
Timeless jewelry, elegant and of lasting value—these are the hallmarks of the “Fine Jewelry” category, with jewelry pieces starting at a retail price of EUR 2,000. The finalists are Binder Jewellery, FH Trautz und Lunatica Roma.
The new category “High Jewelry of the Year” features jewelry in a class of its own with a retail price of EUR 30,000 and up. The finalists are Gerhard Hahn, Meister 1881 und Pavit Gujral Designs.
In contrast, the “Fashion Jewelry” category addresses jewelry as accessories for current fashion trends with a retail price of up to EUR 2,000. The finalists are Bernd Wolf, Boltenstern und SIF Jakobs Jewellery.
The “Designer of the Year” accomplishes extraordinary work in design, innovation and craftsmanship. The finalists are Annelie Fröhling, Breuning und Theodora D.. Young talents compete as “Design Newcomer” with self-manufactured jewelry or watches. The finalists are Margot Reuter, Margret Hipp und M. Kalla.
The category “Watch Design” demands an innovative concept and independent design with a high recognition value. The finalists are Citizen, March LA.B und Junghans.
This year for the first time, the “Gemstone Design of the Year” category honors special colored gemstones, diamonds and gemstone objects. The finalists are Arnoldi International, Gerhard Hahn sowie Groh + Ripp.
Trendsetting retail concepts ranging from modern store design to cross-channel marketing are honored in the “Best Jeweler of the Year” category. The finalists are Bucherer Fine Jewellery Boutique—blocher partners, Juwelier Fridrich und Sebastian Frost.
The retailers’ voice
The finalists in the two Retailers Choice categories were also selected by the jury this year. The specialist audience can vote on these online prior to the trade show as well as on site on the first day of the show. The finalists of the “Retailers Choice Awards—Best Pieces of Jewelry” are Brigitte Adolph, egf Manufaktur und Oliver Weber Collection. The finalists of the “Retailers Choice Awards—Best Watch” are Casio, Garmin und Junghans.
